The facilities detailed below and in our access form are for customers with permanent/long term access requirements and are not for people with temporary impairments such as broken bones, healing wounds or women who are pregnant.

Anyone wanting to attend Ironworks Studios events must book tickets as described below:

  1. Read the qualifying criteria and procedure below
  2. Purchase a ticket for yourself
  3. Complete the application form for a PA ticket and upload your documents

Anyone wanting to attend Ironworks Studios events must book tickets as described below:

There are no separate tickets for customers with access requirements. However, when you have purchased your Ironworks Studios show ticket you can then register your access requirements.

Proof of disability is required to pre-book our facilities details of which are listed further below.

Submitting supporting documents

When submitting documents (details below), we ask that you:
·      Scan evidence and attach it with your form if emailing
·      Photocopy evidence and clip it to a printed form if posting

Documents that will be accepted are:

  • DLA Letter – Any level Care and/or Mobility to use the access facilities, however, you will need to submit the middle/higher rate for a free PA/carer ticket
  • Personal Independence Payment (PIP) any level to use the access facilities, however, you will need to submit enhanced daily living or mobility rate for a free PA/Carer ticket
  • The front page of Attendance Allowance letter (no specific rate required)
  • Evidence that shows you are registered severely slight impaired (blind) or deaf
  • The Access Card or equivalent with +1 for a free PA/Carer ticket
  • CredAbility Access Card +1 category requirement for a free PA/Carer ticket
  • Recognised Assistance Dog ID card
  • Armed Forces Independent payment
  • War Disablement Pension
  • Medical professionals’ letter
  • Compass Card

We recognise that the evidence above might not include everyone that has an access requirement. If you do not have any of the above evidence but wish to apply for one or more access provisions, complete the Accessibility Request form stating why you require them. You are welcome to post or email copies of any additional evidence that supports your application if you have any, or contact us to discuss your application. Your application will be accessed on a case by case basis.

Your completed access request form and supporting documents will automatically be sent to us at Ironworks Studios once you click ‘submit’ on the form.

USEFUL INFORMATION:

Ironworks Studios is a multipurpose space across two areas with wheelchair entry. The studio is flat and the flooring is a mixture between polished concreate and laminate wood.

Wheelchair accessible toilets are available at the Studio

A Wheelchair viewing position is included in our seating plans but must be pre-booked using the access request form.

Our Studio and theatre space is assistance dog friendly.

Special Effects & Lighting
Smoke machines, strobe lights, and other special effects may be in use at the studio. Please contact us for more information if you may be affected by this. 

PA Tickets

Free PA tickets are available if you submit the following evidence:

  • DLA Letter – You will need to submit the middle/higher rate in order for a free PA/carer ticket

Travel

Ironworks Studio is located in the City of Brighton and Hove and is accessible by car, bus and train.

Brighton and Hove Buses have wheelchair friendly buses, please, contact Brighton and Hove Buses direct for their timetable at https://www.buses.co.uk

If you are arriving by car, please, refer to Brighton and Hove City Council’s website for parking throughout the City of Brighton https://www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/content/parking-and-travel/parking this will give you information regarding the nearest car park and the nearest blue badge spaces to all Pride events.

Ironworks Studio is a 10-minute walk from Brighton train station, however, this does involve a few hills

Accessibility 1
