Founded in 1998 by musical director, Kirsty Martin, Hullabaloo is Brighton and Hove’s longest-established Natural Voice Choir.
Our inclusive, innovative and imaginative singing community invites everyone to experience the sheer endorphin rush of singing in harmony together! We don’t audition and we learn everything by ear, in the oral tradition, so there’s no need to be able to read music. All you need is a creative curiosity and Monday nights free!
Hullabaloo has an amazingly eclectic repertoire and reputation! We sing foot tapping, spine tingling arrangements of folk, jazz, pop and blues songs, a far reaching, authentically sourced bank of songs from the global majority, not to mention songs spanning a thousand years!
As well as this rolling repertoire, we have an impressive list of collaborators – from jazz legend Liane Carroll to folkster Grace Petrie and a CV of wild, weird and wonderful choral projects! No term is the same! Come and experience the Hullabaloo – Brighton’s ORIGINAL choir community!
