Trans Pride Brighton is the first and the largest Trans Pride event outside of America and each year since 2013 they have host the largest protest for trans liberation in Europe, with over 10,000 people attending.
With their 2021 in-person events unable to go ahead, they switched to an online program of talks, performances, panels and workshops on Trans Sexual Heath, Mental Health and Self-care delivered over Zoom as well as Equality in the Workplace advice and exercise sessions.
The events were live-streamed simultaneously on YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook, with all of the livestream accompanied by live BSL interpretation. Pre-recorded segments of the livestream had burned-in hand-written (not auto-generated) captions in English, while live segments will have real-time captions, in English, captured by experienced live captioners.
